Lip Lift / Augmentation:
A lip lift commonly refers to a surgical procedure used to increase the height or ‘show’ of your upper lip. The typical surgical candidate is someone with a ‘thin’ upper lip who desires more fullness or show of the upper lip. A lip lift can add some projection to the lip as well. The incision can be placed at the border of the upper lip or more commonly hidden along the base of the nose. This is a surgical alternative to augmenting the lip with filler.
What to expect
Lip filler adds volume to the lip and can increase its appearance in both height and fullness. Filler can be used in conjunction with your surgical lip lift. Another augmentation option is fat grafting to the lip. Fat grafting uses your own fat to augment the lip. It is injected in the lip in similar fashion to filler. This can be performed in conjunction to a surgical lip lift as well.
