The goal of transmasculine top surgery is to remove breast tissue from both breasts in order to create a masculine or non-binary appearing chest. Multiple approaches can be used to achieve this desired result and depend on the size of the breast, density of breast tissue and preference for nipple reconstruction. Liposuction can be used to remove breast volume in addition to direct excision of dense glandular breast tissue.
